Shirati for Active Rehabilitation and Development - Tanzania

Shirati for Active Rehabilitation and Development (SARDO) is based in Shirati, Mara Region, Tanzania.  SARDO works to insure that all people with disabilities fulfill their potential and are empowered in their identity, rights, and capacities to enjoy equal opportunities in communities free of discrimination. SARDO designs and manages various programs in rural northern Tanzania which further this goal.   Archy Gomba is the Executive Director of Shirati for Active Rehabilitation and Development in Northern Tanzania. He is an alumni of the US State Department sponsored Professional Fellows Program on Inclusive Disability Employment (PFP-IDE) and completed a five week training at the University of Iowa Center for Disabilities and Development and a mentorship through the Association of University Centers on Disability (AUCD). He is a person with a disability and has advocated for full inclusion for his entire life.
